Mrs. Hornerās Small Business class participated in a Stock Market Exchange challenge at St. Ambrose University today through Junior Achievement. Students have spent the last 6 weeks learning about stocks and the stock market. Today with over 23 other schools they took part in a 60 day challenge. Each group had $500,000 and each day consisted of just 60 seconds. To say it was the fastest most adrenaline filled hour is an understatement! UHS took 3 teams and all three made money in the stock market! We didnāt win, but we didnāt lose!! The students had an absolute blast. Several left the floor sweating and stressed!! Great experience!! #BeUnited #stockmarketexchange

Parents and Guardians,
The safety of our staff and students is very important. We have decided to evacuate the Junior Senior High School due to a suspected gas leak. Students will be outside of the building until Ameren provides an "all clear" to re-enter. We will keep you updated on this situation as we receive more details. At this time, we are not dismissing school.

Pictures taken on September 25th (retakes and those not at school on the original photo day) are now available for both the JH and HS.
