Good morning United Family. Please know that the high school is open today for those recent United grads that wish to be in a setting where there is someone to talk to or be in a quiet space with others. Our area response team is here today to support the needs of our students, staff and recent graduates during this difficult time. If you do come to the high school, please check in at the high school office. Thank you.
Help the United High School Social Media Marketing students launch their special holiday projects now through December 5th. Three student groups have partnered with The Strom Center, Western Illinois Animal Rescue, and The Jamieson Center to help with their respective non-profit initiatives.
Please consider supporting these causes over the next few weeks. You can drop off items or monetary donations at the United High School office or Mrs. Horner’s classroom.
Be sure to follow United Red Storm Media 304 on Facebook and Instagram to watch each group market their nonprofits' needs and share updates throughout the campaign.
Thank you for helping your United students learn the power of community, compassion, and creativity this holiday season.!

This is a follow up to the previous message regarding law enforcement presence at UJSHS this morning. The pre-arranged emergency drill has now concluded at UJSHS. Thank you to all staff and agencies that were involved in making it a success.

United Junior-Senior High School will honor all service men and women with an appreciation breakfast in observance of Veterans Day on Tuesday, November 11th, from 7:30-8:15am. Relatives and friends of our students and staff that are Veterans of the Armed Forces are invited to attend our appreciation breakfast. If possible, please RSVP by this Friday, November 7th, by calling (309) 734-9411 or email: brian.higbee@u304.org. Please let us know which cafeteria you wish to have breakfast in as both the junior high and high school cafeterias in our building will be serving breakfast. Thank you!

Students also had the chance to explore potential career paths firsthand through interactive virtual reality simulations. Using VR headsets, they experienced what it’s like to work in fields such as welding, veterinary science, culinary arts, and more than 50 other professions. The event gave students valuable insight into future career options and the steps needed to pursue them.
