United High School’s Students of the Month for October are Senior, Bridgette; Junior, Mae; Sophomore, Landon and Freshman, Emma. Bridgette was nominated by art teacher Mrs. Burgess in recognition of her growth and willingness to expand her skills. Mrs. Burgess says that Bridgette represents the UHS Core Value of “Commitment,” as she is focused, driven and always seeking feedback to improve. Mae was nominated by history teacher Mr. Molek due to her exemplification of the UHS Core Value “Commitment." Mae is a dedicated and hardworking student. Landon was nominated by science teacher Mrs. Menge, because he has a great work ethic and positive attitude. The UHS Core Values that Landon best represents are “Commitment and Integrity” due to his willingness to work well with others and his curious mind. Emma was nominated by band teacher, Ms. Wood, in recognition of her commitment to improving her skills as a musician. Every fall the high school counselors organize a Wellness day for the high school students and invite in guest speakers and presenters. This year we are doing a t-shirt fundraiser along with it to give us some kind of budget to improve this day for our students. We appreciate your support!
