United High School’s Students of the Month for April are Senior, Ralph; Junior, Lily; Sophomores, Logan & Bradlee and Freshman, Jayden. Ralph was nominated by math teacher, Mrs. Havens in recognition of his kindness and great work ethic. Mrs. Havens says that Ralph represents the UHS Core Values of “Family, Commitment, Empathy and Integrity.” Lily was nominated by Mrs. Burgess because she is impressed with Lily’s work ethic, tenacity and desire to learn and develop her creativity. Lily exemplifies the UHS Core Values of “Pride and Commitment." Logan and Bradlee were nominated by Mr. Hill because they showed great empathy towards a peer during a difficult situation. The UHS Core Values that Logan and Bradlee best represent are “Family, Commitment, Integrity, and Empathy.” Jayden was nominated by Mrs. Shannon and Mrs. Walters for showing a lot of integrity and doing the right thing. Jayden represents the "Integrity" Core Value for UHS. Congratulations to these students!

We also want to thank the West Central Illinois Bassmasters for their continued support of our bass fishing program. We were fortunate to receive a $200 donation from the club that will be used to purchase equipment for our students. #BeUnited
The UHS Bass Fishing Teams finished 11th and 12th out of 22 boats at a tough Lake McMaster Sectional on May 4th. Thank you to Mr. Sharp, Coach Stewart, and Coach Hart for helping us host our first sectional. #BeUnited

Roger was nominated by Mrs. Lair because he has shown a commitment to being the best version of himself through his work in school this year, and at a job outside of school. April is Autism Awareness Month. West Elementary and the UHS Entrepreneurship class joined forces to help bring awareness by creating a t-shirt. Please consider helping spread awareness about autism! Deadline to order is this Friday, April 14 and shirts will be ready for pick up by April 26th.
