Today's STEAM lab allowed for student led exploration. Students confidently defined transparent, translucent, and opaque while citing the evidence from their discoveries. Super impressive discourse among students.

Our UIS 4th graders will travel to the annual 4th Grade Ag Education Day on Thursday, September 10th. The event is sponsored by Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau Ag-in-the-Classroom Committee along with the Prime Beef Festival board. It is held at the Fairview Center United Methodist Church. Ag Education Day is a half-day event in which students rotate through seven stations learning about different aspects of agriculture.
Our PTO knocked it out of the park with the first ever Crafts and Courts! Can't wait to see what else is in store for the year.
A huge THANK YOU to our amazing UIS PTO for all of the planning, organization, and volunteer hours that went into making Crafts & Courts such a wonderful event! We had an incredible turnout and loved seeing so many smiling faces throughout the evening. It was great to see students getting creative with crafts and others working off some energy and having fun in the gym! What a fun way to bring our UIS community together! We are so grateful for everyone who helped make the night possible.
