On Thursday, September 17th, 5th grade will be attending Progressive Agriculture Foundation Farm Safety Day at the Henderson County Fairgrounds in Stronghurst. Students will learn about all types of safety from experts in the field.
Lunch is provided for the students; however, we do not know the menu. If your child has any food allergies or intolerances, we strongly suggest he or she bring a sack lunch that can be discarded after eaten. Our trip will take place during school hours, but please make sure students are at school on time. We ask that students wear United gear or red, white, or black to show they belong with our school.
Thank you,
5th Grade Team

We have kicked off Spirit Week.
Today fifth graders had the opportunity in STEAM class to put what they have learned about how light travels (in a straight line) and how it can be reflected (in today’s case through the use of mirrors) to solve a maze. Students were provided with the parameters of the maze and barriers to use and had to use no more than three mirrors to guide the light through the maze to the middle of their target. Many groups were able to solve the maze with only two mirrors! This was a great way for students to show what they have learned while continuing to build collaborative and communicative skills.
United CUSD 304 is accepting bids for the 2026-2027 Winter Season for Snowplowing services at all campuses: United South Campus for the United Junior Senior High School; United West Campus for West Elementary and United Intermediate; and the North Campus for North Elementary. Please click on the link for the Notice to Bid and Instructions.
