The postseason accolades continue for this year's United High School Girls' Basketball Team! The Illinois Basketball Coaches Association has recently recognized our team with an "All State Academic Award" for having the highest team GPA amongst all girls' basketball teams from our Legislative District. This morning the Galesburg Area Vocational Center recognized those graduating seniors that will be pursuing a career and/or furthering their education in a CTE profession. Those participating in today's signing ceremony were: Madilyn Lair, Jacey Hasten, Alex Melleny, Ryan Jimenez-Stevens, Kenneth Higbee and Rachel Purlee. Congratulations also to Ryan Jimenez-Stevens who received the GAVC Student of the Year Award and Kenneth Higbee who received 1 of 2 GAVC Scholarships presented by Limited Rods of Western Illinois.
