UJSHS has received notice that the Warren County Highway Dept. plans to start their Cameron Viaduct Project on Wednesday, August 27th. They've also shared that only one viaduct will be closed at a time during the project. Drivers going through Cameron, please plan accordingly for possible delays and/or rerouting while this project is taking place.
Picture day at United Jr.-Sr. High School is this Wednesday, August 27th. JostensPIX, our photographer, requests that students not wear green as this is the color of their backdrop used for customization when photos are ordered. Families will receive an email a few days after picture day with further information to order photos.
Wednesday, August 20th: This afternoon's JH Baseball game has been cancelled due to poor field conditions after this afternoon's storm. Baseball practice will take place inside at UJSHS.
Monday, August 18: All outdoor events scheduled for this afternoon have been postponed. This include HS Golf, JH Golf and JH Softball. No JH Golf practice today. JH Baseball will have an optional practice at UJSHS until 5:00, and JH Softball will practice indoors until 5:15.
Updates for this afternoon's game and practices: JH baseball game has been cancelled, no practice. No JH golf practice. No JH softball practice. All high school teams are practicing indoors this afternoon with the exception of Girls and Boys Golf practices being cancelled for today. Tomorrow's JH Baseball game is still scheduled to be played at 9AM in Alexis.
Saturday's JH Baseball game in Alexis vs. Nauvoo Colusa has been moved up to a start time of 9AM.
We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow for our first day of school at UJSHS that includes all students in grades 7 - 12. We are NOT doing a staggered day start like what was done last year. Please make sure your student has been registered before the start of school tomorrow. Remember also that tomorrow is a 1PM early dismissal. Thursday and Friday we'll utilize our regular daily schedule.
This afternoon's JH softball game has been postponed due to the elevated temperatures.
All United HS students and families are invited to attend United HS Backpack/Open House Family Night, co-hosted by our 21st CCLC B.O.O.S.T. Program and United HS, Monday, August 11, 2025, from 5-7PM in the Commons at United HS. A Spaghetti Dinner will be served, beginning at 5PM and school supplies will be available.
School registration is currently underway for the 2025-26 school year. Please remember that all students (new and returning) attending UJSHS this year need to be registered prior to the start of school on Wednesday, August 13th. I want to first apologize if you have received an email from me that looked legitimate for you to complete a DocuSign. This was a phishing email that was sent from a nefarious actor. Phishing emails attempt to get you to enter personal information in order to open a fake "important" document. We are trying to isolate and block this actor from doing this type of action. Please understand that I operate more with the community face-to-face and through phone conversations, than through a personal email. Once again, I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you and your family.

United High School’s Students of the Month for April / May are Sophomore, Emma and Freshman, Henry. Emma was nominated by Ms. Wood and Mr. Ross because of her commitment to excellence and for being an incredible role model. They say that Emma represents all of the UHS Core Values of “Empathy, Pride, Integrity, Commitment, and Family.” Henry was nominated by Mr. Wascher because he is such a kind, caring, responsible young man, and he works diligently at the tasks at hand. The UHS Core Values that Henry best represents are “Integrity, Commitment, and Empathy.” Each student will receive a gift certificate good for 1 drink at Dame Fine Coffee! 🚌Where: We will leave the high school around 11:30-11:45 and head west into Monmouth down Broadway. We will head north on Main and then east at McDonald's to head towards Charleston
⏰️Time: 11:30 (walk through High School) and then load the bus.
