United West is seeking assistant cook substitutes to work 6:30-1:00. A background check and food handlers license is required. $14.00 per hour. Inquiries should be made to taylor.lozier@u304.org.

Brad Ray, President/CEO of Security Savings Bank presented Mr. Tom Hawkins, Superintendent of United CUSD 304 with a check for $1,500. This generous donation will be applied to meeting the needs of our students. Thank you to Security Savings Bank for this generous gift, and for your service to our community.

West Trick-or-Treating! We would appreciate your donation. Thank you!
West Elementary experienced electrical issues leading to the power being shut down close to 1:30 PM. Students were taken to UIS to use the restroom. Some classes had extra time outside. We were able to turn the power on shortly before dismissal began. Ameren is working this evening in order to make sure we will be ready for school tomorrow. The students handled the situation well, and the staff was excellent in making sure the afternoon finished smoothly.

The gas leak at United Junior Senior High School has been resolved. Ameren has given the all clear for students to re-enter. Students are receiving lunch and school day will end at the normally scheduled time. Thank you for your patience.
