Early Childhood Screening information for the 2026-2027 school year:

The last day of PK attendance is Friday, May 22.
The last day of K-3rd attendance is Thursday, May 28. It's a 1:00 PM dismissal. Student pickup time is 12:45.

We have a limited supply of yearbooks to sell on a first come, first serve basis. They are $15 and will be available by May 28. Please send a check (payable to United West) or money in an envelope marked with your student's name and teacher.

State of Illinois Health Requirements for the 2025-2026 School Year for Kindergarten and 2nd Grade
Kindergarten Students:
● Physical Exam on IL form (Parents please complete the yes/no questions on the back and sign and date)
● Complete immunization record signed by a doctor: check with your healthcare provider for compliance
● Dental Exam on IL form due May 15, 2026(dated within 18 months of May 15th deadline)
● Eye Exam (performed by optometrist) on Illinois form dated within one year of the first day of school.
● Birth Certificate
Second Grade Students:
● Dental Exam on IL form due May 15, 2026 (dated within 18 months of May 15th deadline

Family Fun Night
The United Community Unit School District #304 Board of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Washabaugh as the new Principal of United Junior Senior High School, effective July 1, 2026. Mr. Washabaugh brings 14 years of educational experience, with the last four years as an administrator at Galesburg Junior Senior High School.
"I am honored to serve the students, staff, and families of United Junior Senior High School. I have seen the pride that the communities have for United, and I am excited to be a part of that," said Michael Washabaugh. "My goal is to ensure that our school is a place where innovation thrives and where every student feels empowered to reach their full potential. 3rd grade IAR celebration!
Yearbook orders are due April 7 either online or brought to school. They are $15 and will be delivered before school is out for the summer. We will have a limited amount of extra yearbooks on hand to sell.
