Field Day is tomorrow afternoon, 12:30-2:30, due to the pending weather on Friday. Please read the attached letter. Friday is the last day of school and a 1PM dismissal. Students may be picked up at 12:50.

Mrs. Pullen's class visited the 1st grade yesterday to learn a little bit about what next year will be like.
The 1st and 2nd grades had fun on their YMCA trip today. Thank you PTO for funding all three trips!
"Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader" challenge this afternoon. Thank you parents that were able to attend!
Our PTO has provided for the students and staff in many ways this year! Thank you for your dedication and effort. Thank you to the West community for your support. Some of the PTO accomplisments are listed below:
-Increased the Playground savings account to close to $9.000.
-Organized a successful Family Fun NIght that raised $5,550.
-Provided $1,500 in teacher mini-grants.
-Purchased classroom rugs
-Provided the Teacher Appreciation Week and Conference meal for the teachers
-Purchased reading goal t-shirts for 1st-5th grade.
-Funded the 4th quarter reading goal pizza party
-Donated $2,500 to support the start of the UIS PTO account.
-Purchased Young Author medals and certificates
-Purchased Raise Craze prizes
-Purchased snacks for the 3rd-5th grade IAR testing.
-Purchased indoor recess equipment for the Kindergarten
-Funded the YMCA trips for PK-5th this month
-Provided supplies and snacks for the Service Learning Night.
The PTO meeting this evening has been moved up to 4PM due to the pending weather.
As a reminder, 3rd-5th grade students MUST return the the slip sent home on May 9 and May 16 signed in order to swim at the YMCA tomorrow afternoon. If the slip isn't signed giving said permission, the student still attend and experience the other activities, but not swim. Thank you!
