Early Childhood Screening information for the 2026-2027 school year:

The Thursday Notes were sent home with students this afternoon. The following accompanied the Notes:
yearbook ordering, early childhood screening, April menus, Lions Baseball, Rec League Girls Softball, Little York Sheriff Softball and the Character Strong newsletter. There will be no Thursday Notes next week.

State of Illinois Health Requirements for the 2025-2026 School Year for Kindergarten and 2nd Grade:
Kindergarten Students:
● Physical Exam on IL form (Parents please complete the yes/no questions on the back and sign and date)
● Complete immunization record signed by a doctor: check with your healthcare provider for compliance
● Dental Exam on IL form due May 15, 2026(dated within 18 months of May 15th deadline)
● Eye Exam (performed by optometrist) on Illinois form dated within one year of the first day of school.
● Birth Certificate
Second Grade Students:
● Dental Exam on IL form due May 15, 2026 (dated within 18 months of May 15th deadline

The 3rd graders are doing a terrific job of taking care of the flag this year! This week it is at half mast for a fallen Chicago fireman.

Ms. Cherry visited first grade to share the book, I Love You All the Time, she illustrated for her sister who wrote it. Miss Cherry shared a book called “I Love You All The Time” with first grade. She is the illustrator of the book!


KH learned about the circumference of a Sequoia Tree using tape measures and received help from 2S by joining hands together.

1N had their first day of Junior Achievement today with Mrs. Elizabeth. We learned about neighborhoods, families, and businesses.







3rd Grade Families,
IAR testing begins this afternoon and runs through Monday, 3/30. Please make every effort to make sure your student is at school. Thank you for your support!
Huge thank you to our friends in the other grades for making posters for our 3rd graders who are taking the IAR this week and next! We love them!!







The last day of PK attendance is Friday, May 22.
The last day of K-3rd attendance is Thursday, May 28. It's a 1:00 PM dismissal. Student pickup time is 12:45.
