The Kindergarten National Park Junior Ranger trip to the Gateway Arch was not able to happen last school year. However, the “spirit” of our trip was able to be fulfilled by DonorsChoose and those who donated to this project in the adding of several items to both first grade classrooms (for our last year’s Kindergarten ) as well as to the board game check out in our school’s library for all families of United West Elementary to enjoy! Along with these purchases for in school use, each of the kids will be receiving a National Park 2020-2021 Atlas and NP Junior Ranger Opoly game to enjoy at home with their families. Mrs. Higbee sincerely hopes these items will continue to foster the love and respect of our National Park System in each of our kids and their families here at United West Elementary! Our sincere thanks to all who donated to support our National Park dreams! We will keep dreaming!

Mr. Runge reviewed bus safety and procedures on Tuesday and Friday this week. Mr. Coate spoke with them about being role models and the “power of yet”. It was a nice mask break for everyone!
