Parents and Guardians,
The safety of our staff and students is very important. We have decided to evacuate the Junior Senior High School due to a suspected gas leak. Students will be outside of the building until Ameren provides an "all clear" to re-enter. We will keep you updated on this situation as we receive more details. At this time, we are not dismissing school.
UIS PTO will have a regular meeting on Monday, October 7th at 5:30 p.m. in the UIS Library.
UIS September Super Stars Throughout each month, students can receive positive office referrals, also known as Shooting Stars, from their teachers. These students have gone above and beyond the expectations and stood out from their peers. Shooting Stars are celebrated each day during Morning Assembly. At the end of each month, one student from each grade is chosen from those who have received Shooting Stars to be the Super Star for the. Here are the September Super Stars representing UIS.
The UIS Coin War was a HUGE success! Thank you for all your support. The students LOVED handing out pies in the face.

Tomorrow is Flavored Water Friday! Students may buy flavored water for $2.
Spirit Week at UIS
We are having a COIN WAR next week! UIS PTO is hosting a coin war. The three faculty with the largest amount will receive a pie in the face. Check out the attached flyer for details.
Save your plastic lids!
UIS is saving plastic lids to recycle into a bench or two for the playground. Save your drink lids, laundry soap lids, milk jug lids, or any other plastic lids. Drop them off or send them with a UIS student. Help us recycle and customize our own benches.
Fifth grade students spent the day learning from community experts about safety at the Ag Education Day sponsored by the Warren County Farm Bureau.
