Mrs. Robertson's class participated in their last Art Presentator of the year. Thank you to Mrs. Oaks and the Buchanan Art Center for making this program possible.

Two of the great students who make up UIS were recognized at the IPA Student Recognition Breakfast. These students not only show upstanding character, they help make UIS a great place to be each day.

It's Spring Musical Day! Due to our class schedule, set up will begin promptly at 1:00. Seating for audience members will not be available until 1:20 at the earliest. Show time is 1:45. We look forward to enjoying the afternoon together.

Nurse Roberts joined one of our 6th grade RTI classes today to teach students basic first aid skills.

As a part of our 6th grade mystery unit, groups are working to solve “Who Stole the Garden Gnome?”.

Students and their families can attend to tour the school, meet the teachers, ask questions, and join the UIS PTO.

UIS House Meetings are always an adventure! Yesterday, houses took part in a few competitive games. Robertson's Reindeer are the champions for the day!

Congratulations to our Carl Sandburg Poetry Contest Winner! We have an aspiring author on our hands. Miss Hale joined her student at the awards ceremony. We couldn’t be more proud.

Move over Oscars....the Stormy Awards are here! Our UIS Young Authors were celebrated during our red carpet event. Thank you to all the families who joined us for this fun celebration of learning.

Teacher Appreciation Week is coming - May 4th through May 8th. Help us show our UIS Teachers how much they are appreciated.

Dear Families,

We are excited to share that our upcoming school musical, Let’s Walk Together, is just around the corner! This special performance celebrates the idea that every student is unique and valued for who they are. Through music, movement, and storytelling, our students will highlight the importance of individuality and community.

As part of this theme, students are invited to dress in a way that represents their personal interests or hobbies. This could include activities such as baseball, basketball, softball, music, art, or anything else that reflects what makes them unique. We encourage creativity and self-expression!

Please note the following important dates:

Dress Rehearsal: Monday, May 4 - for our 3rd grade students

Family Performances: Friday, May 8 at 1:45 p.m. and Monday, May 11 at 9:30 a.m.

We look forward to seeing you at one (or both!) of our performances as we celebrate our students and the message of walking together while embracing our differences.
