The United Community Unit School District #304 Board of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Washabaugh as the new Principal of United Junior Senior High School, effective July 1, 2026. Mr. Washabaugh brings 14 years of educational experience, with the last four years as an administrator at Galesburg Junior Senior High School.
"I am honored to serve the students, staff, and families of United Junior Senior High School. I have seen the pride that the communities have for United, and I am excited to be a part of that," said Michael Washabaugh. "My goal is to ensure that our school is a place where innovation thrives and where every student feels empowered to reach their full potential. Together, we will focus on continuous improvement and a school that celebrates both our collective achievements and individual growth."

We celebrated UIS artists today. These students participated in the OSF Nutrition Poster Contest and received first, second, or third place in their grade level. Our first place students' art work will be on display at the Warren County Library during April.
