Information regarding the 5 Essentials Survey is located on your school's webpage in Documents > 5 Essentials Survey. You will have access to two documents, an information letter and an Opt-Out letter. Students in grades PK-3 do not participate. Parents may take the Parent Survey at https://survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois/

UIS students will complete the 5 Essentials Survey. If you do not wish for your child to take the survey, you may opt out by filling out the form and sending to the office or by calling the office. The survey will be completed on Friday, March 7th.
Please also remember that Friday, March 7th is an Early Dismissal at 1:00. p.m.

The state of Illinois requires all 6th graders to complete a dental exam. Record of this is due on May 15th. Please see attached flyer for more details.

This is a reminder that today, Thursday, February 13th, is a 1:00 dismissal. Shuttles load at 12:40 and pick ups are at 12:50. Tomorrow, February 14th, there is no due to teacher inservice.

All 4th grade teachers embraced the upcoming football weekend with a room transformation. The day was filled with learning geared around football themed activities. The student engagement was incredible.

UIS students can purchase candy grams for $1 to send to their Valentines... or their friends. Candy Gram sales begin on Wednesday, February 5th.

Tomorrow is FLAVORED WATER FRIDAY! Students may purchase Propel for $2.


All soup fundraiser orders must be turned in WITH payment tomorrow morning. Orders without payment will not be placed. Money turned in after tomorrow morning cannot be accepted.

UIS staff and students celebrated 100 days of school. Our 5th grade students, who also celebrated a total of 1000 days of school in their educational journey, spent time reading for their READBowl challenge. Ask your student how they celebrated the day.

UIS will celebrate 100 days of school on Tuesday, January 28th. Students may dress
like they are 100 years old OR dress as if it is 100 years ago. Classroom teachers have planning and prepping engaging activities for the day. Let's celebrate 100 days of learning!
