UIS Young Authors Celebration will be on May 9th. If your child submitted a story, he or she and invitation and received tickets for family member to attend the celebration. All students will attend the celebration during the school day to highlight our authors. Please ask your child if he or she submitted a story.
Ms. Wood took a select group of elite 5th and 6th grade musicians to Sherrard for an additional performance this weekend.
6th Graders are required to have a dental exam in the last 18 months. This exam is due MAY 15TH and can be submitted to the UIS office.
Teacher Appreciation Week is May 5th through May 9th. School Nurse Day is also that week. Attached is a list of our staff favorites you can use to show appreciation to your child's teacher and Nurse Jenna. It is also linked on our website.

Fifth grade students spent the day applying the skills they have learned in Financial Literacy at BizTown. Students were assigned jobs and released to support their own economy. Thank you to all the volunteers and teachers who supported our students and made this day happen.
Thursday, April 17th will be a Propel Day! Students may purchase Propel for $2.
THANK YOU to all our families and friends who generously donated to the UIS PTO Calendar fundraiser. The PTO donated over $7000 to UIS. These funds will be used to cover grade level field trips. We are grateful to all who supported our fundraiser.

United Intermediate School 2024-2025 yearbooks are on sale now! Online and envelope forms went home on March 14, 2025 with your student. Orders are due TOMORROW APRIL 1st. There will be no late yearbook orders accepted, so please make sure your orders are in by that date. You can order online at: https://shop.memorybook.com/ Our school code is: 248966M Yearbooks are $20 this year. If you order online, there is a $1.99 service fee. Orders sent to the school should have the student and their homeroom teacher's names on them, along with the payment for the yearbook.
