Students took part in a cooking competition this afternoon with the Army National Guard, called “Cooks and Camo.” Students were scored on execution, appearance, and taste.




All juniors will be taking the Illinois Science Assessment this Wednesday, March 2nd. We will have Thursday, March 3rd serve as our makeup date.

There will be a college fair at Bradley University on Thursday, March 10, 2022
from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. https://www.bradley.edu/sites/collegefair/
Students can pre-register. Around 50 colleges/universities will be there! Sophomores and juniors are encouraged to attend.

There will be a meeting on Feb. 22 at 6 PM in the high school commons for parents and students interested in learning more about dual credit and the process for enrolling in those classes. A rep from CSC will be presenting the information and available to answer questions.
Tonight's boys basketball game has been postponed to tomorrow (Friday) and scholastic bowl has been canceled for this evening. #BeUnited
There was a gas leak at the high school this morning and all students and faculty were evacuated. At this time, all student drivers are off campus and should be home or heading home. All non-drivers are being taken home on a bus or were already picked up at the high school.

The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) recognized United High School, and the work of Kay Shaver, School Counselor, in the 20-21 school year. Our FAFSA Completion rate of 88% for the graduating Class of 2021 earned a gold status for this ISAC award.

State of Illinois Health Requirements for the 2021-2022 School Year
All Illinois students in 9th grade are required by the Illinois State Board of Education to have a dental examination on file by May 15, 2022. School dental examinations must have been completed within 18 months prior to the May 15th deadline.
A Dental Examination form or a Dental Examination Waiver form must be submitted to the school by May 15, 2022. Please contact the school office with questions.
