Hi, my name is Chris Olson and I am excited to be at United West Elementary as the new PE teacher. I grew up in Alexis and graduated from United High School. I completed my B.S. in Kinesiology at the University of Illinois. I have worked in physical therapy since 2016 and I am excited to make the transition to elementary education to help students build a healthy foundation and enjoyment for exercise. I am the current Varsity Girls Basketball coach at United, and I enjoy being involved with the United Rec youth sports programs. I live in Alexis with my fiancé, Whitney, and our three daughters. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and watching our girls play sports.
Mr. Olson is a long-term substitute currently working toward acquiring teacher certification. We are fortunate to have have him join our staff!
