State of Illinois Health Requirements for the 2021-2022 School Year Students will NOT be able to attend school after October 15, 2021 until ALL required physical exams and immunizations are received. As of Friday August 27, the United Community School District will be following the guidelines of the most recent Executive Order from the Governor's office. That order requires that all students and staff will be masking while indoors. This is a change from our original Return to Learn Plan. All school staff will work to make sure that all students are provided with regular mask breaks. Please make arrangements for your students to wear masks starting on Monday August 30th. Updates to the United 304 Return to Learn Plan can be found on the district website at www.u304.org

Here are the health requirements for our upcoming school year:

Grades 3-5 will be taking their IAR state testing next week. Please ensure plenty of rest and encourage eating a good breakfast each day. Breakfasts are available at the school as well. Snacks will be provided by the school.

Our Day of Awesomeness that we earned with our Step It Up fundraiser from last school year has been scheduled for Friday, May 14th. The sixth graders from last year will be returning to participate. It will run throughout the morning. We are very excited that we get to hold the event this year!

Reminder that there are no Prek classes tomorrow (Wednesday 4/7) for professional development purposes. All other classes will be in session.

Kindergarten screenings will be May 6th from 3:45-5:00. Those currently enrolled in a United prek program do not need screened. Call the office next week to set up a screening appointment for the 21-22 school year! (309)482-3332.

Preschool screenings will take place on April 27th from 3:45-6:00. Children must be 3 in order to screen for prek. Birth to 3 will also have screenings that evening as well. Please call the office next week to set up a screening time for the 21-22 school year!

Due to expected travel issues during dismissal times, United CUSD 304 schools will be remote learning today, February 4, 2021.

Make sure you receive messages from United 304! Go to the app store and download the United304 app. Go into the "settings" option (once you click the 3 bars on the top left hand side) Once in that menu: Click United North Elementary as your default school. Click the toggle button to receive notifications. Click all of the schools you want to receive notifications from. **Make sure to click CUSD304 and UNE. Cancellation notifications will come from CUSD304.

These sweet girls held a hot cocoa stand in an effort to raise money to help others. They donated $400 and cold weather gear to our school!!! Thank you so much, Elliott Families!!

School Picture Day is tomorrow (Thursday 1/21)! Order forms should have come home yesterday. Please send in order forms tomorrow or order online. (pictures are pre-order). We will not have a retake day this year due to time constraints with deadlines for our yearbook. We will, however, have a make up day for pictures for those not in attendance tomorrow. That day will be Tuesday, February 9th. (South campus prek will have their pictures taken on Feb. 9th).
