Hello everyone! My name is Andrew Goodwin, and I am going into my first year of teaching 4th grade at United! This is my third year teaching overall, and all of them have been in 4th grade. I grew up around Bloomington, IL the majority of my life, and I am excited to be in this awesome area! I graduated from Eureka College in December of 2021 with my Bachelors in Elementary Education. I am also the new Head Football Coach at the high school, and we have had a wonderful start to our season with the school district. I cannot wait to get started this year and make this school year the best I can for the kids!

Tomorrow on site registration begins for NEW students. Registration will take place at United High School for all new students. Please note: New students will need to bring proof of residency in order to complete the registration process. Acceptable forms of residency include: deed/mortgage, lease, power bill or water bill. New students will also need the courthouse certified copy of the student's birth certificate and an updated physical. United High School Thursday (8/1) 12pm-6pm Friday (8/2) 8am-12pm

Beginning the Evening of Monday the 29th thru Tuesday the 30th you will be receiving an email with instructions for setting up your new Teacher Ease account. We will also be sending text messages and website/social media posts with instructions and links for those who do not receive or miss receiving this information by the end of the day Tuesday the 30th. Online registration will become available to you once you have completed the setup of your new account. The United Intermediate School office opens on Monday, July 22nd. Registration will be held online for returning students, or on site registration for new students will be held August 1st at United HS from 12:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. and August 2nd at United HS from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Congratulations once again to our UJHS State track meet participants. Natali Postin got fifth place in the 400 m dash. The 4 x 400 team which consisted of Abby Kendall, Madi Edwards, Harper Hall, and Natali Postin got fifth place and set yet another SCHOOL RECORD!! Kahen Porter participated in the 100 m dash and the 200 m dash. We are all so very proud of you!!

UJHS staff has just been informed that due to current construction projects at UHS, the 7/8th grade orientation has been canceled for Wednesday May 22, 2024. They will be looking to possibly have a make up date in August when the construction projects are completed. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Another friendly reminder that UJHS will be conducting our 8th grade promotion on Thursday May 23, 2024 starting at 6:00 p.m. 8th grade students should arrive at 5:45 and report to the Media Center that evening. Thank you.

Just a reminder that current 6th and 7th grade students will be having their 7/8th grade orientation at UHS on Wednesday May 22, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. They have asked to please arrive to the High School Gym with entrance through the commons area that evening. Thank you.

Congratulations to our UJHS students who qualified for the IESA State track meet. We are so proud of you and good luck at State. Kahen Porter (100 m dash-new school record time of 11.97 and the 200 m dash- new school record time of 24.95). Natali Postin 400 m dash (new school record time of 1:03:42) Abbey Kendall, Madi Edwards, Harper Hall, and Natali Postin (4X400- new school record time of 4:32:41).

The UJHS track meet at Mercer County for tonight 4/26/24 has been canceled. Track practice for tonight 4/26/24 has been canceled as well. Thank you.

All United schools will dismiss early due to the chance of severe weather during typical transportation times. Shuttles will leave buildings at 12:45 and routes will run as close to 1 PM as possible. Thank you for your patience.
