Mark your calendar! School Pictures will be taken on Wednesday, August 28th at UIS.

Teacherease Communication Setup Teachers will be using email and the Teacherease App for communication purposes this year in an effort to eliminate multiple apps. Please note that email is the main form of communication but you can email through the app. Notifications In order to receive notifications on the app, you will need to choose the “MORE” button. Then choose “COMMUNICATION PREFERENCES.” This will bring up a menu of things for you to choose your notification preferences (messages from staff, school closure, general announcements, missing assignments, etc.) You will need to choose the arrow on each category to choose which you want notifications for. Emails Once this is all set, you can email the teacher and receive emails from the teacher through the app. Choose “MORE” Then choose “EMAILS” Then choose the envelope in the top right corner. This will bring up all of the teachers your student has in the drop down menu of the “to” section.

Please note the following changes to the UNE, UWE, and UIS handbooks: Cell phones, tablets, smartwatches and similar electronic devices must be powered-off and remain in a bookbag within the student’s locker or in the designated location where the bookbag is kept during the regular school day. Students are allowed to bring a water bottle no larger than 24 oz to school. Water is the only liquid permitted in the bottles.

Back Pack Night is August 13th from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at United Intermediate School. If you did not fill out a medical form online during registration, please stop by the office to obtain a form.

School starts on Thursday, August 15th. United Intermediate School starts at 8:00 a.m. Back Pack Night is Tuesday, August 13th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Come meet the teachers and see the classrooms.

Hello everyone! My name is Andrew Goodwin, and I am going into my first year of teaching 4th grade at United! This is my third year teaching overall, and all of them have been in 4th grade. I grew up around Bloomington, IL the majority of my life, and I am excited to be in this awesome area! I graduated from Eureka College in December of 2021 with my Bachelors in Elementary Education. I am also the new Head Football Coach at the high school, and we have had a wonderful start to our season with the school district. I cannot wait to get started this year and make this school year the best I can for the kids!

Tomorrow on site registration begins for NEW students. Registration will take place at United High School for all new students. We will also be sending text messages and website/social media posts with instructions and links for those who do not receive or miss receiving this information by the end of the day Tuesday the 30th. Online registration will become available to you once you have completed the setup of your new account. The United Intermediate School office opens on Monday, July 22nd. Registration will be held online for returning students, or on site registration for new students will be held August 1st at United HS from 12:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. and August 2nd at United HS from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Congratulations once again to our UJHS State track meet participants. Natali Postin got fifth place in the 400 m dash. The 4 x 400 team which consisted of Abby Kendall, Madi Edwards, Harper Hall, and Natali Postin got fifth place and set yet another SCHOOL RECORD!! Kahen Porter participated in the 100 m dash and the 200 m dash. We are all so very proud of you!!
