UIS PTO will meet tomorrow at 5:30. Please join us if you are interested in helping support UIS.

Thank you to all our families and friends who supported our UIS students in the calendar fundraiser. If your student has not turned it in, they can be turned in to the office. We appreciate your donations and support in our efforts for funding student activities.

UIS 5th Graders attended the Annual Agricultural Progressive Safety Program sponsored by the Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau.

UIS students participated in an interview with a 9/11 survivor today. Building substitute, Mrs. Ricketts, coordinated the digital meeting. UIS takes pride in providing opportunities for our students to learn through experiences. Ask your student about the guest speaker.

UIS science classes ventured outside for some apple picking.

UIS Fall Fundraiser Calendars are due September 12th. The proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards covering costs of field trips and student activities. Please support UIS with your donations.

It was a beautiful day to learn about our local agricultural resources. Thank you to the Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau, the Prime Beef Festival committee, and community volunteers who sponsored the annual Ag Education Day.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Mrs. Logsdon, United Intermediate School Social Worker, will be discussing basic hygiene with students the week of August 25th with all her classes. She will talk about the importance of regular showering, brushing teeth, brushing hair, wearing clean clothes and using deodorant. Along with the discussion, a generous donation of deodorant has been given to United Intermediate School for each student to have in their lockers. Mrs. Logsdon will discuss how it is not embarrassing to use deodorant in the hallways; however, some students may be more comfortable putting it on in the restroom. If you do not want your child to participate in this conversation, please contact the office to opt out of the lesson.
Thank you,
Mrs. Cole
