We’re excited to celebrate Halloween next week at United Intermediate School! Our classroom parties are always a special time for students and their classmates to enjoy fun activities, treats, and community building.
Students are welcome to wear their costumes all day! Please remember that costumes must follow the school dress code and cannot include blood, gore, or weapons.
Parents who have signed up to help with the parties are welcome to attend — thank you for volunteering your time! 🎉 Please note that siblings and other family members will not be permitted, as this helps maintain a focused and safe environment for our students to celebrate together.

Thursday, October 23rd is a 1:00 p.m. dismissal for Parent Teacher Conferences. Pick ups are dismissed at 12:50. If you haven't scheduled your child's conference, please contact his or her teacher to make arrangements. Conferences are held on October 23rd from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. and October 24th from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. There are several openings still available.
UIS PTO Meeting is tomorrow, October 20th, at 5:30 p.m. Join us to help support UIS teachers and students.

It's BOOK FAIR week at UIS! Each title has been curated by our own school librarian, Mrs. Koerner, to ensure the perfect fit for our student needs. All books are under $10, and 100% of the proceeds benefit the UIS library (instead of an outside book company).


Tomorrow, October 17th, is Fall Festival from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Join us for some family fun and activities.

Cow Pie Bingo Tickets were sent home with students today! Ask your child for your tickets.
Our UIS 5th and 6th grade students will be visiting the Buchanan Center for the Arts on October 22 during their geography and science class periods. Students will learn about the history of the center, explore the current special displays and learn about the artists, and then will receive a fun make-and-take art kit to bring home. It will be a great opportunity to connect with our local community and spark creativity!

Fall Festival is October 17th. Cow Pie Bingo tickets can be purchased for $20 for your chance at $1000. Unsold tickets will belong to UIS and UWE PTOs. We are accepting donations of candy for the evening's event. Please drop donations off at the office.
