These UIS students are our January Students of the Month. They all were nominated for multiple Shooting Stars during the month of January to recognize their accomplishments and citizenship. Keep up the good work and continuing to show others the UIS way.

February 2nd - 6th is National School Counseling Week. Show your appreciation for Mrs. Logsdon by thanking her or giving her a card. Check out her favorite things on the UIS list of favorites under DOCUMENTS on the website.

Math IS fun!!

UIS Students will be taking the 5 Essentials Survey. Please see the attached form for more information and an option to opt out. Survey will be given between February 23 and February 27, 2026.

Our 5th grade classes are diving into a classic Gary Paulsen novel.

UIS celebrated some of our major reading milestones this week. These students have read 1/2 million or 3/4 million words this school year!! Keep reading those books!

Thank you to our parents and families for making our holiday parties memorable for our classroom communities. Thank you to the Grinch and his helper for adding fun and excitement to the day.
