The family of Justin Dell, recently awarded the 1st annual Justin Dell Memorial Scholarships to members of his class, the class of 2020. Justin passed away tragically on February 17, 2018, during his sophomore year in high school. Dell was a beloved member of the class of 2020 who enjoyed baseball and being funny around his friends.
"Justin is watching you all as you move on to your next steps in life and he is your biggest cheerleader. Whenever things get tough, just think of him and something silly he would have said" implored Amy Dell, mother of Justin during the award ceremony at United High School. "Live your lives and cherish every moment, because you never know"
"The committee loved reading your essays and we appreciate everyone submitting for this award. We are thrilled to award four $1000 scholarships this year in our first year. This happened even without our fundraiser getting off the ground due to COVID-19." Dell added.
One thousand dollar scholarships were awarded to - Isabella Kilgore, Emily Grodjesk, Stewart Svob, and Cade Whitsitt.
