This is Bus Driver Appreciation Week! Thank you to all of our amazing bus drivers who get us to and from school safely each day. Don't forget to thank your bus driver!! The end of the quarter was last Friday. Report cards will be sent home this Friday. Please sign the envelope and return to school.
Please remember to send students dressed for the colder weather. Coats, hats, etc. will be needed as we go outside as much as possible for PE and recess in an effort to get a good mask break.

State of Illinois Health Requirements for the 2020-2021 School Year Students will NOT be able to attend school whether in-person or full remote after October 15, 2020 until ALL required physical exams and immunizations are received. Requirements by Grade Level: Kindergarten Students: Physical Exam (Parents please complete the yes/no questions, sign and date) Complete immunization record signed by a healthcare provider Eye Exam on Illinois form dated within one year of the first day of school Students not having these on file or a written statement of the appointment date with a healthcare provider will be excluded from school effective October 16th until the requirements are on file. Virtual Parent-Teacher Conferences will be conducted from 4-8 pm on Thursday, October 8 and Friday, October 9 from 8:30-11:30am. Teachers will be reaching out to each family to schedule times.

In an effort to reduce the amount of paper transfers, we will not be sending home printed copies of our calendar and lunch menu this year. Lunch and breakfast menus are found on the website and app under "dining." Calendar items are found under "events."

Chromebook pick up will be Thursday 8/20 from 11am-6pm or Friday 8/21 from 7:30am-3:30pm. A parent or guardian will need to be the one to pick up as an agreement will need to be signed. If you are unable to make one of these times, please call the office to arrange a pick up time. Chromebooks need picked up at each student's attendance center. Login information will be given at this time.
Online registration closes today. A couple things to remember: 1. Please register even if you plan to have your student do full remote learning. 2. Prek students starting in person second semester still need to register online.
All students Kindergarten through 5th grade will receive a chromebook to use while using the blended or full remote learning options. Our chromebook pick up dates and times will be: Thursday, 8/20 from 11-6pm and Friday, 8/21 from 7:30-3:30pm at the North Elementary. Backpack Night will look different this year. We will have a Virtual Backpack Night with information by teacher that will be available on social media and our website on August 19th.

Your child will be receiving a regular report card with grades earned for quarters 1-3. There will also be final grades which averages those 3 quarters combined. Attached to the regular report card will be a progress report for the fourth quarter. Due to the lack of in-person attendance, we are giving either a P for “pass” or an I for “incomplete.” If your child participated in instruction throughout the fourth quarter, he or she received a “pass.” If your child did not participate, he or received an “incomplete.”
We received a message from the yearbook company that their production has slowly began to resume, but in reality our yearbooks will probably not be here until June or July. We plan to hold them and give them out in the fall if that is the case.
